Tarek El Moussa has been battling insomnia while filming season two of his HGTV show, The Flip Off, much to the concern of fans.
Earlier this week, the 44-year-old television personality left social media users worried after he appeared ‘sketchy’ on a livestream in the middle of the night.
While many expressed fears over his behavior, a rep for Tarek insisted that he was struggling to sleep at the time of the livestream due to the pressure of the latest season of his HGTV series.
In his alarming video recorded at 3am, which has since circulated online, the real estate investor clutched a plastic water bottle as he said: ‘So much fun you guys.’
‘I absolutely loved filming that show,’ he added, referring to The Flip Off. ‘Is anyone watching right now watched that show, The Flip Off?’
Tarek also took a moment to respond to fan comments and questions.
‘I ski, I snowboard, I do all the things,’ he continued.
Social media users were baffled by Tarek’s unfiltered late-night appearance and voiced their worries online.

Taking to Reddit, one said: ‘He’s skiing, snowboarding, doing ALL THE THINGS! Hope he’s ok.’
‘Hmmmm… sketchy,’ another said as a third added, ‘He’s bizarre.’
A fourth joked: ‘I half expected him to break out into a Beastie Boys track… “NO. SLEEP. ‘Til Brooklyyyyyyyynnn!”‘
But a representative for the star has since explained: ‘Tarek couldn’t sleep and got on TikTok Live overnight, turning his insomnia into creativity.
‘He has been trying to source leads for an unlisted property for the next season of The Flip Off.’
Speaking to The Sun, they added: ‘Funny enough, this impromptu live turned out to be his highest-engaging one yet, driving the most leads and followers in the shortest amount of time.
‘Turned out to be a surprisingly productive result of a sleepless night.’

The Flip Off premiered in January and was a smashing success, becoming HGTV’s highest-rated new series since 2022.
The show was confirmed for a second season in August and production on the new episodes is already underway.
In the series, Tarek stars alongside his wife, Heather Rae, as well as his ex-wife, Christina Haack.
Earlier this month, Christina revealed that Tarek helped get her most recent ex-husband, Josh Hall, off the show following their split.
