Jared Kushner torn to shreds by gameplayers after getting his ‘grubby little hands’ on The Sims

Jared Kushner‘s latest business deal has got fans of The Sims fuming and declaring they ‘can’t have anything nice.’

On Monday, it was revealed that Donald Trump‘s son-in-law’s company is among those closing a deal to acquire Electronic Arts, better known as EA.

EA confirmed that it will be privately acquired by several investors, including Kushner’s Affinity Partners, during the 2027 fiscal year.

Saudia Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, also known as PIF, is also investing, as well as the private equity company Silver Lake.

In a statement, EA said that the all-cash transaction is valued at approximately $55 billion and will help fuel ‘innovation and growth to build the future of entertainment.’

Addressing the move, Kushner, 44, who is married to President Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, said he ‘couldn’t be more excited.’

‘Electronic Arts is an extraordinary company with a world-class management team and a bold vision for the future,’ he said.

‘I’ve admired their ability to create iconic, lasting experiences, and as someone who grew up playing their games - and now enjoys them with his kids – I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.’
