One of the most successful conservative influencers on the internet has fired back at critics after being slammed for charging his fans thousands for FaceTime calls.

Patrick Bet-David, 46, who hosts the popular PBD Podcast, is currently charging $48,000 for an hour-long FaceTime call on the Minnect app. 

If you can’t afford the $48,000, he’s also offering audio texts for $100 per message.

Naysayers were quick to mock the entrepreneur, with one writing, ‘Who the f**k is paying that?’

Another commented, ‘The goal of this is to give the perception that he’s super important. I would be shocked if he actually gets calls.’

‘Imagine paying a man $48,000 whose only track record of success is hot takes on the internet about the latest news in politics and culture,’ wrote a third. 

After the post went viral on X, formerly Twitter, an unfazed Bet-David hit back at his critics with a simple response. 

‘It’s actually $48,000 for an hour FaceTime and $100 for an audio text. Access is expensive,’ he wrote.

Bet-David’s response drew a variety of comments, with one person writing, ‘Anyone who can afford to pay $48,000 dollars to talk to you for an hour doesn’t need to talk to you.’

Another joked, ‘It’s way cheaper to get a FaceTime call with me. I only charge $10k an hour!’

A third added, ‘The guy’s worth hundreds of millions, what do you expect an hour of his time to be worth?’

Bet-David founded the Minnect app in late 2023 to give users access to advice from experts in their field.

Some of the current names currently on Minnect include former CNN star Chris Cuomo, actor Terrence Howard, and psychiatrist Paul Saladino. 

While Bet-David has published multiple books on business, he’s currently best known for hosting the conservative YouTube show, The PBD Podcast.

Guests on the show have included Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu, Alex Jones, Stephen Baldwin, Nick Fuentes, and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Bet-David went viral earlier this month after offering a self-professed anti-capitalist a free one-way flight to a communist country of her choosing because she said nations like Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela do not truly follow the ideology. 

The businessman made the proposition during a debate on Jubilee, telling the woman he was thinking of throwing in an extra $20,000 if she accepted.

However, the anti-capitalist outright refused. 

The viral video series, titled Surrounded, pits figures like Bet-David against others with opposing viewpoints for a debate.
