Premier League ref David Coote is charged with making ‘category A’ indecent video of a child – almost a year on from sacking over cocaine-fuelled Jurgen Klopp insult video
Disgraced ex-Premier League referee David Coote has been charged with making an indecent video of a child.
Coote will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday in the first hearing related to the charge.
He has been charged with making one indecent video of a child in Category A on January 2, 2020.
Category A is the most serious grade and typically shows young children either being sexually abused or raped by adults.
The 43-year-old former referee was suspended with immediate by refereeing chiefs PGMOL last December after describing Liverpool as ‘s***’ and former Reds manager Jurgen Klopp as a ‘German ****’ in an expletive tirade during a leaked video which went viral on social media.
A subsequent video was released appearing to show Coote snorting white powder while officiating for UEFA during the 2024 European Championships.
